I started out in junior high school at the local newspaper helping to develop and print the photos that would go with the stories. I didn’t get paid for the darkroom work but I soon learned I could type the cutlines for the reporters and get paid a nickle or a dime each. The reporters hated doing cutlines. It was boring. It was worth a nickle…a dime if spellings needed checking. I loved seeing my few words under the photos even if no one else knew they were mine. Today I do a bit more:
- Proposal automation libraries
- Sales and marketing communications
- Magazine and trade journal articles
- Conference presentations
- Corporate capability brochures
- Web sites and email campaigns
- Training programs
- Training and technical manuals
